Silicon Metal-2

Silicon Metal, also known as industrial silicon, is a grey or dark grey non-ferrous metal with a metallic luster. It's typically produced by smelting quartz and carbonaceous reducing agents in an electric arc furnace.

Product Features:

  • High Purity: Strict control of impurities like Iron, Aluminum, and Calcium.

  • High Silicon Content: Typically ranges from 98.5% to 99.99%.

  • Excellent Electrical & Thermal Conductivity: Ideal for electronic and thermal management.

  • High Temperature & Oxidation Resistance: Enhances material durability.

Product Classification & Grades:

Silicon metal is strictly classified by the content of its three key impurity elements: Iron (Fe), Aluminum (Al), and Calcium (Ca). We offer internationally recognized standard grades, including but not limited to:

  • Common Grades: 553, 441, 421, 3303, 2202, etc.

  • High Purity Grades: Such as 2502, 1101, for semiconductor and photovoltaic applications.

Customized grades are available upon client request.

Primary Applications:

  • Aluminum Alloy Industry: An alloying element improving casting strength and performance (automotive, aerospace).

  • Organosilicon Industry: Fundamental raw material for silicone rubber, silicone oil, etc. (construction, electronics, medical).

  • Photovoltaic & Semiconductor: Core material for solar cells, chips, and integrated circuits.

  • Refractory Materials: Used as an antioxidant or additive to enhance refractory performance.
